Students now more than ever are engaging with online platforms, apps, and social media. As educators and administrators it is our job to teach them the 21st century skills needed to be digital citizens in our ever changing world and provide them the skills to enter an ever evolving job market. Many schools and districts have social media accounts managed by an adult, but why not give over the control to students and let them experiment with curating content for the school? This full day workshop will provide an overview of the social media platforms that students are using, and schools should consider. You will experience creating content including images, audio, and video to help brand all the positive events taking place at your school. With the guidance of Taylor Siebert, you will learn how easy it is to build a student centered social media team that teaches students digital citizenship, including online safety and helps brand your school to the community and the world beyond!
- Coffee in the morning and a light lunch will be served - if you have special dietary needs, please let us know at least one week prior to the workshop.
A $50 Processing Fee Will Be Charged If Your Registration Is Not Cancelled By 10/07/2019.
