Description:
This workshop is designed for a team of educators to come together and discuss, assess, and reflect on their curriculum frameworks and grading practices. This session will include the pillars of instruction, assessment, and standards and how each one can stand alone, but when working together, provide access to a quality education for all students. Throughout the training, we will discuss researched-based best practices focused on the following components of curriculum: Determining priority standards, understanding and assessing Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels, writing assessments with success criteria, developing rubrics, and grading student work. By the end of the day you will leave with a product that will elevate student learning and mastery of standards and be able to provide the evidence for it. This workshop is intended for educators working with students in K - 8.
